This presentation explores how LED-based photobiomodulation can be thoughtfully integrated into pediatric neurodevelopmental therapy to support regulation, attention, communication, and overall brainโbody connection. Erinn Askin will share how light-based neuromodulation is being incorporated into clinical care to complement occupational therapy, speech therapy, and functional neurological approaches for children with developmental differences. Attendees will gain a practical understanding of how photobiomodulation supports mitochondrial function, cellular energy, and neural network activation, and how these mechanisms can be leveraged within a whole-child therapy framework. Real-world clinical insights will be shared on pairing light therapy with movement, sensory integration, reflex integration, and task-based activities to help support developmental progress. This talk is designed for therapists, clinicians, and families interested in emerging technologies that can be layered into neurodevelopmental care to enhance engagement, regulation, and therapeutic outcomes.
